Once I get down low enough, I'll be able to maintain pretty easily. Alcohol is my biggest enemy. Luckily, my fiance doesn't drink much so I can just stick with her and be fine.Big Boy on Bikeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18376607573487110638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-847731163764998324.post-55333215647774279402009-07-08T13:43:45.621-04:002009-07-08T13:43:45.621-04:00You can do it! I couldn't believe it when I had to move the big weight into the 250 slot, and flabbergasted when I had to keep sliding the top one for 23 more lbs. 273 and 6' tall, thats the day I decided to do something about it. Started with the basics, no more soda, pizza a little less often. Added in some exercise, the gym is great because otherwise its tough to find a girl with a really nice ass who you can run right behind for an hour. There is no better motivator for me.

After about a year I was down 50lbs. Then I got complacent and stayed about there for quite a while. Then I decided to start biking, got a POS bike and had some fun. Then decided to get serious, I bought a single speed road bike and took my car off the road. Then I started really enjoying it and decided I didn't just want to lose weight I want to get fit. So I need to ride further, and hills, ugh hills... Thats when I decided I needed gears, and started hitting up Bicycling.com's forums. We may have met I'm "Getting Faster." I got myself another bike (I'm actually quite poor just spent all my savings on two nice bikes) and absolutely love it. I even got some lycra shorts yesterday. They really do help. Plus for me my legs are starting to look pretty good, but my upper body is still awfully squishy so I'm holding off on the moob displaying jersey.

Sorry I tend to ramble.

Anyway you have an obtainable goal and a great motivator, don't get discourage because you're not losing right now. You're building muscle which will raise your metabolism and that will help huge in the long run. Hmmm.. I just looked at your weight log on the side, you've been plateaued for a while, watching the intake like you said probably is going to be the key.

Keep at it and I'm sure you'll get there!Kilgore Trouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10860526600723545020noreply@blogger.com
